Funding Sources

  • The Mining Mini-Grants Program is a joint project of the Western Mining Action Project and the Indigenous Enviornmental Network. It provides groups with up to $3,000 for work dedicated to mining-related issues. Grant applications are received for the following deadlines: February 1, June 1 and October 1.  Applications for Emergency Grants may also be submitted using the same form. These are accepted anytime.

  • The Alaska Conservation Foundation has several grant opportunities for environmental groups in Alaska.
  • EPA’s Environmental Justice Small Grants Program supports communities working on solutions to local environmental and public health issues.  Applicants must be incorporated non-profits, federally recognized tribal governments, or tribal organizations working to educate, empower and enable their communities to understand and address local environmental and public health issues.
